This lounge chair was a great way to put my skills to the test. Requiring the precision of a 4-Axis CNC and craftmanship to create strong joints, this product was design to flow through a lean shop. Between the time running on the machine, other intermittent tasks can be completed, increasing the shop’s efficiency.
From downloading the 3D files to sitting in the prototype, 7 work day elapsed.
I like to think, simplicity is the best way to create a product, especially early-on. Remaining flexible in the manufacturing process allows for the system to be improved, furthering the efficiency and growth of those who build this chair.
